Interview with Khloe Wren

Welcome to my blog Khloe!
I can tell everyone that I have personally read Becky’s Journey and absolutely loved it. Becky is a real heroine. Strong, courageous, sexy and stubborn. But her men are just as stubborn and wear her down with all their sexiness and love.
I am also lucky enough to have stories in the anthologies Edible Delights 1 and 3, which feature no. 1 and 3 of Khloe’s Dragon shifter series.
Tell us about your release ‘Becky’s Journey.’ Is it your debut release or have you released other works?

Becky’s Journey is the second book of the Dragons of Feury series and is my fifth release.  I have another sweet m/f series ‘Fire and Snow’ which is about firefighting snow leopard shape shifters that live in Tasmania. Her Guardian Angel, released 1 June 13, is the first in the series. I also have a couple of sweet short stories, Fireworks and Collision With Destiny, published.

Why an m/f/m romance?

I started reading ménage romance stories about 18 months ago I think. I quickly fell in love with them. The idea of having three or more in a relationship where the men, brothers in my stories, work together to make sure their wife and mate is protected and looked after.  For me it’s not all about the wild sex that ensues in these tales, it’s more about the emotion and deep connections.  I love reading about siblings working closely together, happily building a life together as much as I enjoy reading about the women being loved and cherished by more than one man, with no sign of jealousy. (I would like to note that in my stories there is never ever any kind of sexual relationship between siblings.)

What was the hardest part of writing Becky’s Journey?

The Dragons of Feury series are all set basically over the same time frame, so each one overlaps heavily of the others.  They each include new information and their own story but they are very intertwined.  The first book told Eilagh’s story, Eilagh and Becky were kidnapped together.  It was difficult to tell basically the same scene but have it be new and interesting to read.  To write these books I have several documents open on my computer. I have each story open to the relevant part.  I have my character profile document open and also my timeline.  I work off two screens and they both look like a patchwork! lol

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m currently working on a brand new series that will be based in the Maassailands of Southern Kenya. It’s another paranormal, this time with Lion Shifters. The heros will be Maassai Warriors and the heroines ex-Air Force Aussie ladies who were flying in medical supplies when their plane crashed.  The level of research needed for this one is insane!

Are you planning on writing other genres? If so, which ones would you like to delve into?

Oh, I don’t know.  I love my shifters and vampires but I would like to have a try at a bisexual ménage story.  I do have the beginnings of one on my computer, just need to get to finishing it.
I enjoy challenging myself with my writing so no doubt I’ll be having a go at various things as I get more confidence in skills and writing.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Would you share a short excerpt of your new book with us?

"Damn it, they've found us." Huro turned back to her. "Sorry, sweet thing, we'll have to finish this another time." With a wink, they both bolted out the door and ran.
Tears streaming down her face, she continued to fight to get free, screaming against the gag in her mouth. Lost to her panic, she didn't hear anyone enter her cell, didn't see anyone approach. Suddenly, warm hands stilled her face, thumbs wiped her tears. She struggled harder, all reason gone in the midst of her hysteria. The bastards had come back, they were going to rape her. She sobbed harder, on the verge of hyperventilating around her gag.
"Sweetheart, it's me, Savren. Please, come back to us."
Savren's deep pleading voice penetrated her mind and she blinked her eyes clear to see his worried face before her. His thumbs wiped her tears again, and then lowered to rid her of the gag. As soon as her mouth was free, she gulped in deep breaths of air, trying to ease the burn in her lungs.
"Savren…are you really here? Or are you just in my head?" Her voice was hoarse from all the screaming and yelling she'd been doing.
"I'm here, and very real, sweetheart."
He leaned in and kissed her mouth softly, confirming beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was real. His taste exploded across her senses, calming her. He pulled back and she looked over his shoulder to see Drake looking furious as his eyes racked over her body. When he got to her face, his eyes softened.
"I'm not mad at you little one. I'm furious at what has been done to you."
Where can we find you and Becky’s Journey?
